About dc-intelligence

Information about Australian data centre infrastructure is fragmented. Operators publish capacity and expansion figures on their own terms. Government planning portals hold applications and approvals. Economic and resource claims appear in press releases and planning documents, often with different wording and different dates.

dc-intelligence brings this together in one place. It connects facilities with the resource requirements, development activity, commitments and economic information that is publicly reported about them, and links every material value back to its source.

What the product shows

The core journey moves from a national map, to a region, to a facility, to a metric, and finally to the evidence behind that metric. You can explore by map or through the structured list. Both surfaces expose the same published records.

Published data covers three layers: capacity and lifecycle, power and water requirements, and direct economic facts. Commitments such as a stated efficiency target are shown separately from what is actually reported as delivered.

Current coverage

Melbourne West and Sydney West are the two governed deep regions. Both have deeper facility and development coverage than national discovery, but coverage differs by domain. Melbourne West has limited power, water, commitment and economic disclosures. Sydney West currently has stronger planning and government-source coverage, one disclosed investment record, and no published facility-level power, water or commitment metrics. National facility discovery remains available, with lighter coverage outside those regions.

Every published facility and value is editorially reviewed and source backed. Where a value cannot be traced to a source, it is not published.
